Our intention is to leave you with a database of high-resolution images of any painting and frame. If a painting was ever damaged or destroyed, the images on the CD-ROMs could be the basis of a valuation of its condition, or an invaluable assistance to any restoration artist. Paintings are photographed with and without an industry standard colour and black & white tone chart. Attention to detail is given to the exposure and mouldings on frames as well as identifying any inscription on the frames. Often paintings are hung in inaccessible places and it would be too difficult and time consuming to take them down. We can photograph them in-situ, without loss of detail and colour balance, whilst still retaining the correct perspective.
